The Finance Acctg Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role.

The objective of this role is to ensure the regional financials i.e. Closing of US Books for EMEA in a timely and accurate manner.

This role reports to the FRSS Mumbai site Head and may matrix to the Global Close Leads & Regional Controllers. The position is based in our Mumbai office and will support businesses in EMEA.

The FRSS Mumbai Financial Books and Records (FBR) has an additional responsibility required to support the overall governance and control environment and provide necessary support to the Site Lead in driving strategic priorities for FRSS Mumbai.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility of monthly closing of EMEA regional books as per US GAAP, including processing and supporting month end USGAAP & other adjustments including variance integrity checks
  • Manage the entire Financial Checks & reviews process including the Global Daily Balance Sheet process
  • Contributes to the integrity and control of company’s financial books and records as well as the process by which these records are generated.
  • Participates in efforts to embed consistent controls processes and Business units including assessing & standardizing financial reporting, setting controls around US reporting
  • Provide the required support to Close Assurance teams
  • Responsible for strengthening the independent controls and the control environment throughout the company to support the business in efforts to grow responsibly.
  • Develops and manages the financial control function and is responsible for the internal & external statutory audit, if applicable
  • Typically partners strategically with the various EMEA Controllers, PCG teams, and LAI for the purpose of timely submission of financials to Corporate Reporting.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Support key initiatives like Adjustment Reduction and STP targets
  • Direct and control strategy and execution of firm activities within a major Infrastructure area
  • Partner with GFTS, Citi Lean & Process Improvement teams to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or control of the process

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in people management
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work across functional areas
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated skills on process automation /digital transformation

Education:

  • CA/CPA/CMA/Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
