Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU), Kolkata invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Cashier. Eligible and Interested candidates can send their application in the prescribed format along with required copies of documents on or before August 21, 2017.

Netaji Subhas Open University is the premier State Open University in India. The year 1997 was the birth centenary year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The Chief Minister of West Bengal made an announcement at a State function that an Open University would be set up soon and dedicated to Netaji’s hallowed memory. The Higher Education Minister, Govt. of West Bengal spearheaded the idea after his visit to the Open University in U.K. Under his instruction was set up a ten-member steering committee headed by late Dr. Bhaskar Ray Chowdhury, former Vice-Chancellor of Kolkata University.

Educational Qualification Required : Graduate with Honours in Commerce from a reputed University. Desirable : M.Com. from a recognized University.
Experience Required : Candidates should be conversant with common Accounting software tools e.g. Tally. Desirable : 2-year post qualification experience including cash handling. Adequate knowledge in handling office software. Job Profile : Handling of cash, maintenance of cash book. Processing of claims of vendors/ employees towards settlement. Maintenance of accounting records/ledgers. Maintenance of Bank Accounts, preparation of Bank Reconciliation Statement. Assist in preparation of Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet. Assist in payment of taxes & duties to statutory authority. Assist in filing e-return. Any other works that may be assigned by the authority from time to time.
