Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) is a Rs. 3,800 crore asset base fast growing power generating company with 900 MW installed capacity power plants having its own captive Lignite Mines at Nani Naroli, near Surat. The company has a 310 MW gas based power plant at Baroda, a 500 MW lignite based plant at, Nani Naroli, Dist. Surat and 112 MW in Wind Generation. The company also operates 3 Open Cast Lignite Mines for captive consumption and is in the process of enhancing its current capacity in Solar Generation of 7 MW to 87 MW.
